Horseback Riding and Rainforest Walk: The Essence of the Northern Lowlands

Tilajari Hotel Resort sits within a working cattle farm with a private nature reserve protecting 400 hectares of lush rainforest, home to century-old trees and wildlife. Today´s tour will take us through the open pastures, grazing premium cattle on our trained horses, and then walking through this pristine forest.

After a 20-minute horse ride through the verdant fields and over small streams, we leave our horses to rest and graze while we begin our walk through the rainforest.

Our expert naturalist guides will share the secrets of the rainforest and, with their eagle eyes, spot frogs, monkeys, birds, and other animals that live in the forest.

After an hour-long exploration on foot through the dense forest, it is time to return to our horses for the ride back to the hotel.

This tour can be varied for guests who prefer not to avoid riding on a horse. A tractor or car can replace the horse ride to and from the forest entrance.
